A village Mayor together with the local policeman, “interrogate” a supposed thief.
But a phone call from chief-town radically changes the situation. For the next day, he is told, an unexpected visit from the leading party bosses is scheduled, together with a delegation from America. Two years ago, the American guests planted two thousand trees on the meadow at edge of the village. Now, they want to see how their plantation is doing. The Mayor postpones his “interrogation” and quickly heads to the meadow to check the state of the plantation. Much to his dismay, the villagers’ goats have already eaten all the trees.

Director Biography – Valeriu Andriuta

Director, actor and script writer.
Born in Moldova, he has graduated in 1992 The Theater and Film Institute, Tbilisi (Georgia) with a BA in stage acting. In 1994 he is granted a scholarship with the National University of Theater and Cinematographic Arts in Bucharest, studying stage directing. He played in films like „Occident”, „Beyond The Hills” (Priest), “Graduation”, directed by Cristian Mungiu. As actor he worked with Pavel Lungin, Marian Crisan, Sergei Loznitsa, Florin Serban, etc.
